Though I&#039;m pretty sure I didn&#039;t make &#039;the traditional accusation that [news organisations have lost the public&#039;s confidence] because they have lost the customer’s trust&#039;. I could be misinterpreting what you mean, but if what you&#039;re saying is that mainstream media are losing readers / viewers because there are more alternatives, then I agree. As far as trust goes, rather than losing the public&#039;s trust I&#039;d argue that many news outlets have never enjoyed much public trust. It&#039;s just that now we get to go elsewhere - like here - so we do</description>

I caught the latter part of Analysis when driving home last night and was compelled to sit in the car outside my house in order to listen right to the end!

I too liked the idea that it is the public that will save the press for the public and that it will do so in a way detached from the industry&#039;s traditonal notions of what journalism should be. 

I for one find this a very exciting prospect.</description>
